So I've officially decided that I am horrible at blogging and I should just give up. But giving up is to admit defeat so here is one last blog for the year to show off the amazing clients I've had! I am so grateful for each and every person I was able to photograph this year! It's been an incredible journey and I love that I get to share it with so many people I love. Thank you, thank you for believing in me!

Little LaRue

I am still so emotional from this morning's event that I'm not sure I can find the words to describe how I feel. I had the privilege to shoot Caitlin and Lars' little miracle being born today. LaRue's entrance to this world was nothing short of amazing. Caitlin did such an amazing job delivering and Lars was the best support by her side. Love you guys!

I was in a creative rut (like I am every January/February), and I needed to really challenge myself. When it comes to portrait photography, I tend to rely a lot on the environment, props, or other people. So I wanted to take all of that away and really focus on my subject. This challenge was inspired by Ben Sasso, a photographer that I look up to in so many ways.

When it comes to photography, most people think that all the vulnerability is on the subject's end, and for the most part it probably is. But I feel so vulnerable and inadequate almost every time I get behind the camera. Telling someone how to pose and coming up with ideas on the spot is not for the faint of heart! At the same time though, I always go back for more. Photography makes me feel alive. I love to feel my heart pounding moments before a shoot, not knowing if it's going to be a success or a complete failure. Either way, I'm happy with the outcome. Failing is the first step to creating good art. The sooner I fail, the closer I am to creating good art. So here's to failing!

Thanks Stacy for being my model!

Lindstrom Family

This was probably the most epic family portrait session I have ever done. It was also the most stressful cause it was my family! Any time I needed to be in the photo, my brother, Lars, would take the camera. And any time we both needed to be in the picture we would set it on a tripod and use the timer. All of these costumes were sewn by my very talented sisters and mother! Such great memories from this photo shoot! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do!

David + Nichole

I can't believe it's taken me this long to do a blog post about this wedding! This wedding was the highlight of my summer. The weather was perfect in Oceanside, CA and the evening sun lasted forever. David and Nichole are one of those couples that you can't help but love. They are so kind, sincere, and have so much love for everyone around them. Nichole planned her whole wedding and did such a fantastic job! The Italian themed  food and decorations down to the last olive branch were perfect! These where some of my favorite images from the day!

Eddie Joe

I was thrilled when Eddie asked if I would take portraits of him because not only are we good friends, he is an amazing and talented jazz musician. His way with the piano and his silky voice will convert you to be a die hard jazz fan for life (and I'm not talking about the basketball team)! So enjoy these photos and help support him on his journey to becoming the next Count Basie!

This is Emma. She is graduating High School and I couldn't be more excited for her! Going to college was when I started living my life to the fullest. No longer under the pressure of high school titles, I felt free to follow my passions and dreams. I have been so blessed in my life from the choices I have made and I couldn't be happier!

So here's to you Emma! Enjoy your life after High School, cause it only gets better!
